This lesson asks students to investigate whether a blog's claims about the splendor of the Aztec Empire are true. Students practice corroboration by comparing the blogger’s claims about Moctezuma Xocoyotzin’s zoo with three historical documents and reason about whether the documents support or contest the blog's account.
The Digital Student Materials file directs students to view the historical documents on digital archive webpages and requires a live internet connection. The Analog Student Materials file presents students with the historical documents in a PDF.
