Like the Federalists vs. Antifederalists HAT, this assessment gauges students’ knowledge of the past, but in a way that goes beyond mere recall of facts. Students must draw on their understanding of history to identify the political position represented in a historical source and explain why the document was most likely written by the UNIA and not the NAACP.
